Use our skill and knowledge to help you choose your diamond:
CUT Cut is the only characteristic influenced by man. The other three are dictated by nature. A well-cut diamond reflects light, giving that famous sparkle. Cut too shallow or too deep, the diamond will lose much of its potential sparkle.

COLOUR Absolute lack of any degree of whiteness is the criterion. On an international alphabetical scale, D is the ultimate. Moving down to L or M even the untrained eye can see a tinge of yellow. Value is determined by where on the alphabet scale a particular diamond appears.

CLARITY Total lack of any internal marks is perfection "flawless". Minute specks of carbon, minuscule stress marks all affect the passage of light through the stone and reduce the sparkle. The cleaner the diamond, the greater the value.

CARAT WEIGHT Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. 5 carats = 1 gram. Each carat is sub-divided into 100 points. Thus a 25 pointer is 1/4 carat (0.25 carats). As a factor in pricing, carat weight is important. A 2 carat diamond will not just cost twice the price of a 1 carat stone ... more likely 3 or 4 times, because of the scarceness. The rarety of still larger stones increases as the size increases and the price also, and not by any fixed factor.
